CREDIT CARDS
We're assuming here you know what a credit card is and what it's good for (and not so good for).
For many of us credit cards are nothing more than convenience for everyday purchases and even an emergency safety net for those times.
Perhaps when out of town, cash is most needed yet least available. I.E. Car breakdown on vacation, emergency purchases etc.
Others approach the entire matter of credit cards as nothing less than constantly playing with fire with one inevitable financial conclusion.
Complete ruin.
In fact, Dave Ramsey, likely the foremost personal financial guru in the U.S never misses a chance to express an over-arching hatred for credit cards.
He’s not wrong in doing so.
When all is said and done you are the only one that can make a wise decision whether or not a credit card should even be in your future.
And remember, debit cards are even easier to get than a credit card, and they usually work just as well.
If you're 25 years old and constantly late with bills a credit cards can get you in some real-life changing problems.
And these are problems that will continue to grow at a staggering 25% rate or even more!
The unfortunate fact is that far to many of us tend to use credit cards as a means to buy those things we simply can't really afford at this time but feel you can’t do without.
And a large percentage of us carry a balance month over month further limiting through overall purchasing power.
At least in real terms.
So it all comes down to this.
If you know for sure you can stick to a budget (remember credit card usage HAS to be accounted for every month) and never carry a balance over that's one thing, but you must be sure.
If you're sure.
Real sure.
If that's not you, stick to debit cards or even better cash.
It hurts more to use cash.
Why?
BECAUSE IT SHOULD!
Also bear in mind credit cards companies make BILLIONS of dollars every year off customers who vastly over-estimate their self-discipline.
Don't be one of them.
