FINDING HELP
Welcome to Blue Collar Scrooge.
There's going to be times you just don't know where to turn.
Both in finances and in other aspects of life.
These are some trusted places where you can receive financial advice.
1.Clark.com:
As in Howard Clark.
I've called the Clark hotline several times and have always received friendly and extremely helpful advice.
The Goat.
Contact Info: 636-492-5275.
2. Ramsey Help Center:
The biggest name in personal finance by far, Dave Ramsey makes it easy to talk to someone.
While I've never personally called for advice, I have heard any number of good things in online forums.
Because we're talking Dave Ramsey it would seem reasonable that the advice could at least be considered competent.
Contact Info: 1 (888) 227-3223.
3. The Money Guy show on YouTube:
Brian Preston, the head of the money guy show is an accountant by trade and his advice is always absolutely spot on.
My one and only complaint is that there is no dedicated help center that I'm aware of.
Still getting help through his YouTube channel doesn't seem too difficult.
They seem to answer pretty much any relevant questions and again their advice does come across as solid.
Not my go-to but still worthwhile.
You can get your questions answered in the comment section of their YouTube channel.
4. Your accountant.
Your accountant should at the very least be able to warn you of any tax implications of any decision you may be contemplating.
However your accountant is supposed to be giving you advice thats in YOUR best interest and not his.
If your tax adviser starts pressuring you into financial purchases (annuities, insurance, etc) then don't go to him at all.
Except of course to get your taxes filled.
Even Scrooge understands money isn't everything.
There are times when we need to talk to someone and here are two free places to go.
